The fuel monitoring systems primary function is to ease the Fleet Managers work. Automating the system reduces human interferences thus increasing the accuracy. The primary components used will be Mass Flow meters with an accuracy level of 0.3 %. These flow meters are used as an array to monitor the fuel from the day tank that flows into the Main Engine and the Auxiliary Engine. With this array of Flow meters in place, the rest of the work is done within the system to do the calculations to give a better picture of the fuel usage during the vessel is on voyage, this reducing the need for the vessel operators to be physically present to curb pilfering of fuel. This system allows the Shipowner/operators to monitor the fuel consumption by web application. Data from the fleet will be send via Inmarsat Satellite, with worldwide coverage.
Diagonal modeTwo ultrasonic transducers (sensors) are mounted on opposite sidea of the pipe at angle to the pipe axis.
For Pipe size A sensors: *13mm to 89 mm B sensors: 90 mm to 1000 mm C sensors: 300 mm to 2000 mm D sensors: 1000 mm to 5000 mm *Pipe size ,50mm: Liquid must be homogeneous, without solid / air bubbles antrainmnet.
